F.A.Q.

Where can we stay before the wedding?

If you don’t have a car, we recommend that you stay in the city of Venice: if you have the option of getting around by car, though, we advise you to stay in the near vicinity of Montecchio Maggiore so that you won’t have to change lodging the day of the wedding. Below you’ll find a map with different options.

What time does the ceremony begin?

The civil ceremony will begin in the hall of the Comune di Venezia a Palazzo Cavalli at 12:00 pm sharp. So that you don’t miss it, plan to arrive a little early and you’ll be able to do everything with ease.

Will there be someone who will take us through the different stations in Venice?

We will all move together through the different stages in the city. Elena, Filippo’s delightful cousin, and all the ones who know Venice well will help us to find the correct way.

What time does the reception end?

It ends when it ends! There’s no specified end to the schedule, but remember that if you are drinking, driving is extremely dangerous. Have fun but make good choices.

Where can we stay the night of the wedding?

The closest hotel is "Hotel Castelli", at which you’ll get a special price if you mention that you’re staying for the wedding of Adriana and Filippo. But if you want, you can find many other options nearby. Below you’ll find a map with different possibilities.

How should I get to my hotel after the reception?

You can get to Hotel Castelli on foot, though we can also help you arrange rides with our friends.

If I don’t have a care, how should I plan to get back from Montecchio Maggiore the day after the wedding?

At Altavilla-Tavernelle there’s a train station, and the train will take you directly to the closest cities--Vicenza, Verona, Padova, Venezia, etc. Here’s the link to Trenitalia so that you can check the details. Who needs to go directly to the airport can check this airport shuttle on-demand service: GoOpti

Do I have to carry my luggage the whole time?

No, if you change hotels between Friday and Saturday, we’ll have a luggage locker for 50 suitcases at Piazzale Roma, a safe spot from which we’ll depart for the final station (Montecchio Maggiore). We’ll also have a small stopover at the your hotel in Montecchio Maggiore so that you can leave your luggage before coming to the reception venue.
PLEASE NOTE: On October 12, we suggest to leave your luggage at Piazzale Roma by 10:30 am so that you can arrive at the Comune in time for the ceremony.

What happens if it rains?

The mission must go on! But don’t worry, the event venues Comune di Venezia, Osteria alla Bifora, and Riva Ratta are covered.

Is there a specific dress code?

It’s elegant-casual, but remember that for us it’s important that you’re comfortable.

How should I get from Venice to Montecchio for the reception?

If you have a car, you can just follow the GPS to Riva Ratta, Via Campestrini, 52, 36075 Montecchio Maggiore, Vicenza.

We have enough room for 50 people to go by tram and bus to the reception.

Do I have to buy a ticket to take the shuttle from Piazzale Roma to Venezia-Tronchetto? And do I have to buy a bus ticket to go to Montecchio?

No, we’ll take care of the shuttle (PoepleMover) and bus transportation for 50 people.

Is there any other advice you’d offer?

We recommend that you arrive well rested and having had a big breakfast. It’s going to be a long day!

Can I fill out the RSVP form for my entire family or couple?

No, the form has to be filled out by each individual person using the code we sent you. We thank you for your help on this..
